Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) Film Short Story :

Among the public mobs that emit around there, Tara shields a rebellious Sakina from a crazed crowd and a bond that blooms into affection is made. The two at last get hitched and have a child. The cheerful family, presently living in Amritsar, gets the stun of their lives when Sakina discovers that her dad (Amrish Puri), whom she recently accepted passed on in the uproars back in Amritsar, is as yet alive in the wake of seeing his image in a worn out, old paper. After reaching him, Sakina’s dad, presently the civic chairman of Lahore in Pakistan, masterminds his girl to show up in Lahore to see him. Sakina leaves for Lahore short Tara and her child, and after arriving at the city, learns of her dad’s arrangements for her – plans that incorporate constraining Sakina to disregard her family and start life over again in Pakistan.
